SIHGA Pick

Sustainable without loss of quality
The increasing requirements for climate protection and the growing awareness of sustainability are of particular importance in the timber industry - this also applies to work equipment and the tools used. For this reason, we focus on quality and a long service life in our product range. With the Sihga Pick, for example, we offer a load handling device that will outlast thousands of working hours without any loss of quality.

Tools often consist of valuable and sometimes rare raw materials. Extracting these is costly and consumes resources. In addition, both the purchase and disposal of the tools are associated with high costs. We took these factors into account when developing the Sihga Pick load handling device. In addition to its sophisticated handling and functionality, the system impresses with its long service life. Compared to disposable solutions, it therefore offers a decisive advantage in terms of sustainability.

Simple attachment

The Sihga Pick is suitable for lifting plywood, glulam and solid wood. Developed, patented and manufactured in Austria, the system can perform up to 20,000 lifting operations. Each fastening point has a payload of up to 1,250 kilograms. Thanks to its special design, the system enables heavy wooden parts to be lifted purely mechanically, quickly and efficiently - regardless of whether they are on the end face, panel side or transverse timber side.
In addition to its versatility, the Pick is also easy and safe to install. To attach it to the timber loads to be supported, the load lifting device must be sunk into the appropriate drill hole as far as the stop on the base ring. Only a blind hole with a diameter of 50 millimetres and a depth of 70 millimetres is required for lifting. This does not damage the visible quality of the surfaces and no fixing screws are required. The load lifting device is supplied in a system case that contains all the necessary tools. These include two picks, two shackles and the HMB pick drill. The system has been certified by TÜV and is therefore extremely safe.

In addition to the simplified installation, the Sihga Pick is particularly impressive due to its long service life. The recommended annual ultrasonic check by an independent testing institute guarantees the integrity and safety of the system. After all, quality plays a decisive role, especially for work equipment that is in constant use.
