HobaFix Max
Connect precisely and securely
New connector from SIHGA for main and secondary beam constructions
SIHGA now has HobaFix Max in its range for connecting timber or timber-concrete connections. The connector has a high static load-bearing capacity and guarantees precise and time-saving construction. All the accessories and screws required are conveniently included in the set.
Connections between main and secondary beams are often exposed to high static forces. In order to create a secure construction, the connector must be extremely resilient. With HobaFix Max, SIHGA will be offering a product for timber and timber-concrete connections from March 2024 that meets precisely these static requirements. The set is available in various sizes and is ETA-approved.
Practical screws
The HobaFix Max's staggered fixing screws prevent screw collisions. This also makes multiple node connections possible, for example where four beams have to be realised on one support. The connector can also be installed several times next to or on top of each other. The thread-cutting locking screws distribute the entire load evenly over the entire height of the connector. This also fixes the position of the two supports in relation to each other, which ensures an assembly tolerance in the direction of insertion in the case of a multiple arrangement. If the HobaFix Max is arranged on both sides, length tolerances of the secondary beam of up to three millimetres can be compensated for thanks to the practical geometry of the connector. In addition to its practical features, the connector scores points with its particularly high static load-bearing capacity: it reliably withstands horizontal, vertical, tensile and moment loads of up to 81.73 kilonewtons.
Precise and efficient assembly
Developed, patented and manufactured in Austria, the anodised aluminium connector ensures durable and dimensionally stable quality. In addition, all connector heights have a consistent profile geometry. This ensures an optimised manufacturing process with sustainable and low material consumption. HobaFix Max is available as a set with all fastening and fixing screws as well as installation instructions. Sihga also offers the HFML milling assembly jig for precise assembly of the connector on the main and secondary beams. The stop of the jig can be infinitely adjusted in height and up to an angle of 30 degrees. With the HobaFix Max milling cutter HFMF, the connector can then be milled in in a time-saving operation thanks to the customised milling cutter length and position of the stop ring. The fastening experts recommend a milling depth of 15.5 millimetres for a visually attractive and closed joint.
